Khalil Moqadem

Khalil Moqadem has a first prize in lute from the Conservatory of music of Morroco and studied the Andalousian Morrocan music with famous Morrocan singer Mohamed Bajeddoub. Also, they allow him to play various styles of music and to adapt the lute to more unusual musical styles. Since his arrival in Montreal, he participated in several cultural and musical events such as the "Festival du Monde Arabe" in 2005. Precendently, in 2001 he was at the Festival international du Luth classique" in Morroco. He is co-founder and musical coordinator of the cultural association "Soleil de l'Andalousie" in  Montréal. And as if it was not enough, he is currently writing a book on the instrumental playing of the Andalousian Morrocan music.
